Booking

Your place is held once your deposit is paid and you receive our confirmation email. Each journey has a set number of places. When they are gone, bookings close and a waitlist opens.

The price of each journey, what it includes and what it does not, is on that journey's page. Prices are in US dollars. Flights to and from the journey are not included unless the journey's page says they are.

Paying

A 20% deposit is due when you book. It is non-refundable.

The balance is due 45 days before departure. At checkout you can choose to pay it in one payment or split it into up to four. If a payment is coming up or late, we will send you a reminder.

Card payments are handled by Stripe.

If you cancel

Informing Kristin in writing (email is fine) is required. The date we receive it is the date that counts.

90 or more days before departure: everything you have paid above the deposit is refunded.

60 to 89 days before departure: 50% of the balance is refunded.

60 to 29 days before departure: no cash refund. Kristin may offer a credit toward a future journey.

Less than 29 days before departure: all sales are final.

The deposit is non-refundable in every case. This is why we ask you to buy travel insurance, including cancel-for-any-reason cover, when you book.

If we cancel

If we cancel a journey for any reason, every payment you have made to us is refunded in full. No exceptions.

We are not responsible for flights, visas, vaccinations or other costs you paid to others, so please book flexible flights where you can, and keep your insurance up to date.

Changes to a journey

Travel is alive. Weather, local events, or the safety of the group may mean we change the order of days, an activity or a place to stay. When we do, we will replace it with something of similar quality. If a change is major, we will tell you as soon as we know and talk it through with you.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is required for every journey, with medical and emergency evacuation cover. You confirm this when you book, and give us your policy details on your traveller page before departure.

Your health and fitness

Each journey shows how demanding it is (body, heart and pace, each on a scale of one to five). Please read it before you book, and tell us on your traveller page about anything we should know. Every day has a gentler option, and nothing is compulsory.

You are responsible for your passport, travel insurance, and any vaccinations the destination requires.

Being part of the group

Our journeys work because everyone looks after one another. If someone's behaviour puts the safety or wellbeing of the group or our hosts at risk, Kristin reserves the right to ask them to leave the journey, without a refund.

Photos

Photos for marketing will be captured throughout the journey. If you would rather not appear, just tell her, before or during the journey, and she will make sure you do not.

Responsibility

We choose our hosts, venues and local partners with care, and we do everything we reasonably can to look after you. Some parts of a journey are provided by others (for example venues, drivers and guides), and travel always carries some risk. We are not responsible for loss, injury or delay caused by others or by events outside our control, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits any right the law says cannot be limited.

All participants are required to sign the Satsang Adventures waiver of liability and enroll into STEP prior to departure.

The small print

These terms are governed by the laws of Texas. If a part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Questions about any of this: kristin@satsangadventures.com
